Overview

Procare Wafer by ALCARE Co., Ltd., Japan is a wafer-type skin barrier made with Karaya Gum and Citrus Pectin. It is designed for use around the stoma, particularly to help smooth wrinkles, hollows, and uneven areas of the peristomal skin. The wafer can be cut to the required shape or layered according to the condition of the skin.

Instructions for UseClean the skin around the stoma and dry it thoroughly. Measure the size of the stoma. Cut a hole in the center of the Procare Wafer according to the required stoma size. Place the wafer around the stoma and ensure good contact with the peristomal skin. Apply the ostomy appliance or faceplate over the wafer and press firmly. When required, the wafer can be cut or layered to adapt to wrinkles, hollows, or uneven areas around the stoma.
