Overview
Leonsorb Premium is a high-capacity disposable CO₂ absorber developed by Löwenstein Medical for anesthesia workstations. It is particularly effective for low-flow and minimal-flow anesthesia. The absorber contains 1.15 kg of soda lime and, according to official test results, absorbs more than 150 liters of CO₂ before a 0.5% CO₂ breakthrough occurs. The chemical composition of Leonsorb Premium prevents the formation of Compound A. Moisture generated during the CO₂ absorption reaction helps prevent the soda lime from drying during operation and supports appropriate conditioning of the breathing gas.
