Overview

LEONI plus is an advanced neonatal intensive care ventilator from Löwenstein Medical, designed for the long-term ventilation of very small premature infants, newborns and children with a body weight of up to 30 kg. With a comprehensive range of 38 invasive and non-invasive ventilation modes, LEONI plus enables individualized respiratory support according to the clinical requirements of each patient. The ventilator supports triggered invasive and non-invasive modes, High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFO/HFOV) and High-Flow Therapy, while optional Volume Limitation and Volume Guarantee functions provide additional control of tidal volume. The device features a 12-inch color touchscreen combined with a control knob for intuitive operation. Ventilation settings, measurements, alarms, curves and loops can be displayed and individually configured according to the user’s requirements. The optional LEONI HFO module uses an integrated double-membrane oscillation system, providing adjustable frequencies from 5 to 20 Hz and oscillation amplitudes of up to 100 mbar. HFO is available for both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, while spontaneous breathing remains possible during HFO
